WHAT TO WEAR NOW
Party styles that'll flex all season

OLIVIA DURIE

We call it party season, but it’s not just those all-out parties we’re dressing for. In fact, more often than not, it’s the sort-of-special plans that really fill our diaries at this time of year. Like those after-work drinks or the weekend dinner with friends. We want to feel festive, but still like ourselves. That’s why we love party styles that can flex – meaning we can dress them up, dress them down and, most importantly, wear them lots of different ways throughout the season. Here’s what we mean...

The AM-PM dressA dress that feels beautifully soft, keeps us warm and looks chic for day and night: our Tilly dress ticks every box. Made from 100% merino wool with a tie detail at the waist, this style is the perfect chameleon for party season. Dress it up with heeled boots and throw on some sparkly jewelry when you’re heading from the office to Christmas cocktails.

The subtle sequinsThe secret to making sequins feel wearable? We’ve given ours a matte finish. It’s how our Holly tee manages to feel laid-back while also getting us in the party spirit. We love tucking the boxy shape into a leather skirt, but it looks just as good with jeans and sneakers if you’re after something more casual.

The statement jacketWhen the jacket looks this good, you can keep everything else low-key (if you like). We’ve made our Eleanor jacket in long-pile faux fur that feels amazingly soft and gives outfits a welcome dose of texture – not to mention an easy way to embrace this season’s trending burgundy tones. It’ll make even your jeans and T-shirt feel party-worthy.

The diamante bootsParty shoes that aren’t really party shoes? Turns out an ankle boot is so much more versatile (sorry stilettos). Take our diamante pair: the sparkling studs make them feel special, while the low kitten heel means they’re comfortable enough to wear all day and night. We’ll be wearing them with jeans all through the week too.

The tinsel sweaterTinsel, but not as you know it. Why? Because we’ve made this sweater with a double-faced technique, meaning that the outside looks gloriously sparkly (just wait until you see it in the flesh) but the inside feels beautifully soft against the skin. And who wouldn’t want to feel cosy during all the festive celebrations? Team it with anything on the bottom – everything from a satin skirt to your Christmas Day joggers will work.

The lace skirtYou’ll get two looks in one with our Claudia lace skirt (and even more, if you like to play around with clothes as much as we do). That’s because we’ve given it a detachable lining, so you can have the subtle effect of the lace with the slip underneath, or lean into the sheer trend by removing it. Try it with capri leggings, or layer it under an extra-long sweater for a look that’s cosy and relaxed, yet so pretty.

The outfit-making earringsSometimes all you need is a great pair of earrings to get you in the going-out mood. They make a simple tee and jeans feel like a more considered look for drinks with friends, and they’ll crank your comfy dress-and-boots combo up a gear for those festive dinner parties. We’ve covered our large Pia earrings in crystals for maximum impact – but worth noting we’ve made a smaller version if you’d prefer more subtle sparkle.

The party coatWe felt there was a gap in our wardrobes for a winter coat that fits the party brief. So, we made one: because sometimes your everyday coat just won’t do. At first glance it’s tailored and classic (and cosy, thanks to a premium wool blend). But look a little closer and you’ll see that the herringbone weave is embellished with micro sequins that’ll twinkle under the lights as you head out for all this season’s plans.
